On the same day, the Attorney General's Office of Chiapas issued a search warrant to obtain information leading to the location and capture of the individual, identified as the alleged responsible for the disappearance and femicide of the minor found partially buried in Tuxtla Gutiérrez.

Liliana Guadalupe Marroquín Marroquín, a 12-year-old girl from Berriozábal, went out to sell snacks in downtown Tuxtla and disappeared on Saturday, October 19. After an intense search in the northwest area of the city, the girl's body was found buried in a house in the Colón neighborhood, where Víctor José Carrera Mayor used to reside.

The house was raided, but the alleged criminal was no longer present. Friends, family, and neighbors demanded justice and expressed their dismay in front of the home. The Attorney General's Office deployed an operation to locate Víctor José Carrera Mayor, offering a reward of 500,000 pesos for information leading to his capture.
